Hi new friends, it sure is nice to meet you! As I said in my intro, my name is Eddie! Lots of people also like to call me Eddie Spaghetti.
This was my first International trip and I had the very best time! In fact, I had so much fun, I decided to start this blog so I can tell everyone all about it, and they can bring their furbabies along too!
First thing was first, mom had to do all kinds of things in preparation for us leaving. (You can learn all of those details by clicking on the “How To” navigation tab above!)
I didn’t mind the vet trip that mom said was “necessary” beforehand because I just got something yummy to eat and a check up–nothing like that one time my mom and dad dropped me off and I woke up feeling funny and missing what they call my “meatballs”.
The day of travel finally arrived and we hit the road! I enjoy long car rides because I get to sleep the whole time. Then we got to what mom and dad said is called the airport and our fun adventure began! So many smells and people! It was awesome. I always like meeting new people because they usually smile and tell me I’m a good boy. Everyone there was so nice and I even met a few other doggy friends!
I spent a lot of time walking on my leash through the airport, but while I was at the restaurants or really busy parts, I hung out in my special carrier. It was really comfy and it was fun, too, because it rolled around and I got to go fast without doing anything! Mom said there are size regulations for certain airlines, so she got me this one specifically for this trip. Here is a link for the one I used, and she’ll help put all the size regulations in the “How To” section (tab above).

Mommy said security wasn’t too bad and we just went through the smaller thing instead of the big spinny thing because I was there. We all went to what mom and dad said was a “pet relief area” and they told me to potty. But it was inside! They always tell me to go OUTSIDE. There was wallpaper that looked like trees and some funny smelling grass, but it didn’t fool me at all. No way was I going to go INSIDE and get in trouble! So I decided to wait.
We went to a restaurant where mom and dad got some food and drinks (mama said the wine helps on the plane, but not as much as her best boy does), and I got some snacks too. I just knew I’d love this adventure if I was going to keep getting snacks at fun people places like that. I took a little nap and then we went back to that silly fake outside room. By then I really did have to go, though, and mom assured me it was okay. So, despite my skepticism, I went, and she actually told me I was a good boy for doing that! Can you believe it? It was very weird, but it seems that airports have different rules than at home. I was just glad the airport had places I could go!
After that was taken care of, we went to a place with lots of chairs and lots and lots of people, and then went through this ramp thing in a line of other people. My mom carried me on the big flying car thing. I usually like walking ahead and checking to make sure everything is safe, but I liked that she did because I wasn’t quite sure where we were going.
Finally, we got to sit down in our own seats and I snuggled right in.

Well, friends, it’s time for me to take a little nap now, but I’ll be back with the second part of my adventure soon! So, as my mommy and daddy say, sit and stay there, and I’ll be right back!
